Kvetch — I used this word in a post last week. It is of Yiddish origin and has no English counterpart that is quite as descriptive.

kvetch \KVECH\ or \KFECH\
intransitive verb
: to complain habitually : GRIPE
noun
1 : a habitual complainer
2 : COMPLAINT

For more, see the complete entry at Merriam-Webster online.
