On My MP3 Player

I haven’t listened to the radio or mp3 player for more than two weeks, for fear of hearing a song that would give me the weepies. But I just plugged it into my work computer speakers. So far, I have stumbled upon no landmines.

Here are the last ten songs:

  • "Revival" — The Allman Brothers Band
  • "December" — Norah Jones
  • "Up and Down" — John Lee Hooker
  • "Loose Duck" — Wynton Marsalis
  • "Love Has Come" — Matt Maher
  • "Knocking at Your Door" — Deep Purple
  • "Lyin’ Eyes" — The Eagles
  • "Shiny Happy People" — R.E.M.
  • "Crazy Love" — Van Morrison
  • "Jungle Love" — The Steve Miller Band

The Van Morrison song was, to borrow a phrase, a bit spicy, but it it didn’t set me off. Perhaps it’s finally safe to go back into the water.
