We Interrupt This Hellish Work Day…

…to bring you the very latest from the Egomaniac-in-Chief (via Matt Drudge):

Rep. Marion Berry’s parting shot, published in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette [no link, subscription only] offers a warning to moderate Democrats and border state moderates — warning of a midterm bloodbath comparable to the 54-seat D-to-R swing in 1994.

But the jaw-dropper is Berry’s claim that President Obama personally dismissed any comparison between Democrats now and under Bill Clinton 16 years ago — by saying his personal popularity would bail everybody out.

Personal popularity? Has Obama not seen his poll numbers lately?

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16.

I’m sure the news that the President hauled his teleprompter to a photo op at an elementary school isn’t helping matters either, although to be fair, he apparently didn’t have to use it when talking to the 12-year-olds.

And speaking of TOTUS (Teleprompter of the United States), you can get the low down directly from the person thing that’s really running the country over at Barack Obama’s Teleprompter’s Blog.
