Suckiest of Sucky Sports Weekends

So the Bruins fell to the Hurricanes 5-1 this afternoon for their second loss of the weekend, their fifth in a row, and sixth in the last seven games. The Patriots are out of the playoffs, and the good-for-nothing worthless Jets utterly failed to get the Colts’ drooling, mouth-breathing quarterback the hell off my television. The one somewhat bright spot was Friday’s Celtics overtime win against Portland to break a three-game losing streak, but even that felt like a loss because they blew a lead in the fourth to force OT.

Oh, and pitchers and catchers don’t report for another 25 days.

This is why I spent the evening watching Australian Open tennis. I needed to enjoy a sporting event whose result I didn’t care about (nothing personal, Venus).

At least the Saints managed to dispatch He Who Will Not Stay Retired.
