This is the story run by the Philadelphia Inquirer (and, in fairness to them, lots of other media outlets), with my deletions and additions showing the way a responsible journalist would have written the article. The “Inquirer Staff” to whom the article is credited, the headline writer, and the editor who let it all through are obviously more interested in sensationalism than in reporting the news. If the story weren’t newsworthy enough without throwing in the celebrity hype (I think it is), then it shouldn’t have run in the first place.
